Hi, I’m Adam! 🐹

I’ve been building for the web since before it was cool, and I’m currently “enjoying” my time as a Senior Support Specialist. If you’ve ever wondered who handles the tickets that make everyone else cry, that’s me.

I’ve recently survived a Master 1 in Software and Database Design, and I’m now preparing to dive into a Master 2 in Cloud & DevOps.

Why? Because I’ve spent enough time fixing other people’s broken systems; I’d much rather be the one architecting the chaos from the ground up.

My brand is CavyDev. If you’re wondering why, it’s because I’m the proud (and perpetually out of hay) father of 6 guinea pigs (Cavia porcellus).

People tell me managing high-availability clusters is stressful, but those people have clearly never tried to reason with six rodents when the vegetable drawer opens. 🥬

# What I’m “Building” With

I’m a Python and TypeScript enthusiast by choice, but lately, I’ve been willingly subjecting myself to Java and Spring Boot. Yes, I am voluntarily learning how to write EnterpriseAbstractFactoryDecoratorImpl. I’m told it’s “character building.”

# The Anti-Bloat Policy

I use Gitea because GitLab is a massive “usine à gaz” that has no business being on my hardware. I like my software like my guinea pigs: compact, efficient, and not eating through my RAM like it’s fresh kale.

# Security & Automation

I’m a good lad, but my server is a paranoid hermit. I run CrowdSec and Vault. Also, if I have to do a task twice, I write an Ansible playbook. If I have to do it a third time, I begin questioning the fundamental meaning of existence.
